We want YOU to join because more boys mean MORE FUN AT EVERY TURN!  Fun Activities!  Fun Projects!  Fun Outdoor Events!

Cub Scouts is for boys enrolled in 1st through 5th Grade…you can start anytime!  Pack 178 meets the 2nd Monday of the month at 6:00pm at Mountain View Lutheran Church just south of Elliot /48th st.  Each Den (divided by school grade) meets on a schedule determined by the Den Leader and Parent Volunteers. All Boys attending Lomas, Horizon or other charter or public school programs in the community are welcome! Mountain View Lutheran Church is the Charter of Cub Scout Pack 178.


September:   Learn about Camping!

October:  Uniforms with special guests AND Fall Family Camp.

November:  Cooking Skills, Thanks Tree, Veteran's Day Parade.

December:  Santa Claus visits with our Pinewood Derby Car kits.

January:  A special activity ~ 'Box Car Derby' make your own cool cardboard car to ride in.

February:  We celebrate the Cub Scout Birthday with our Blue Gold Banquet with a fun carnival, cake, and ice cream!  We also do Scouting for Food.

March:  It’s Pinewood Derby time!  Experience the thrill of building your own car and racing it down the track!

April:  Webelos celebrate their Arrow of Light.

May:  Advancement Dinner Celebration and Family Camp!

June:  Cub Scout Camps and our annual summer Pack 178 Rocket Launch

July: Summer camps and Family Fun Activities (Swimming, Bowling, Movie Night..)

Note to Parents:  Cub Scouting uses fun activities and trained,dedicated parent leaders to teach values and help our boys become great young men.  Cub Scouting is a family activity.
